ITF Devcon Halloween Party with MyEtherWallet and Zcoin

Devcon-4, the annual Ethereum developer conference, took place in Prague from October 30th to November 2nd.

Our team attended a number of cool presentations, and even had a chance to meet Vitalik Buterin, the co-founder of Ethereum.

To cap off the first day of the conference, we helped organize and host a Halloween party at Martinický palác for the ITF team, MyEtherWallet, and Zcoin. It was a great opportunity to relax and do some casual networking.

ITF Hackathon

On November 1st, we began the month with an ITF team hackathon. The challenge was to create a new tool using ITF technology.

We had 4 team members participate, and we generated some interesting ideas that could be included in our suite of tools in the future.

Startup Yard Interview

Early this month, StartupYard published an interview they held with our Head of Finance and Strategy, Benjamin Lakoff.

Lecture at Prague College

November 12th, we organized a lecture at Prague College, and spoke to approximately 15 Finance and Accounting students about cryptocurrency and the blockchain.

Our talk was about an hour long, and we had a great time there. We will definitely be returning for more talks in the near future.

Presentation at ČSOB Startup Day

ITF was selected as “one of the most interesting Czech Startups” by ČSOB. With over 8000 employees, ČSOB was established in 1964 and is one of the largest financial institutions in the Czech Republic.

It was an honor being selected as one of the 16 startups chosen, and we pitched our company at the Startup Day to over 100 people.

Meetup for new traders

On November 15th, we hosted another traders’ meetup, this time for beginners in trading cryptocurrency.

The discussion focused on limiting the downside in trades by using a very simple trading strategy that anybody can learn and use.

Startup Yard Accelerator Demo Day

On the 29th, we had an incredible Prague-team turnout for Startup Yard’s Accelerator Batch X Demo Day.

We attended the event with an 8-person team and hosted a small booth for ITF to promote our upcoming Intelligent Portfolio App.

It was a full house with over 200 people in the audience, and there were a lot of great pitches from the Batch X startups. We want to wish the participating companies all the best, and we hope to return for more SY events in the future.

It really is looking amazing and we hope to “wow” all of you readers when we finally unveil it in the new year.

Portfolio Management and Rebalancing App

Our second product will be a portfolio management tool that helps you rebalance a cryptocurrency portfolio. We want to make it easier than ever for traders to monitor and manage their crypto-asset allocation, manually or automatically. ITF Team Member Spotlight

Meet Barbora Havelková

As a research analyst, I screen market segments and specific projects from the Wild West world of cryptocurrencies. I conduct fundamental analysis and publish what I find in our ITF Research Reports.

I am also currently the project lead for our Ultimate Guides, with the first being released soon and two more following, guiding you through the landscape of cryptocurrencies and how to trade them.

What is the best thing about working at ITF?

The opportunity to be a part of the exciting, novel and constantly developing ecosystem shaped by the digital technologies. I am learning something new every day, be it through my research or from our great team of AI developers.

What are you most excited about moving forward?

I’m really excited about the growing community that is shaping around ITF here in Prague. It’s great to see more and more people showing up for the traders’ meetups and startups joining the Blockchain Hub Prague. I am looking forward to seeing new partnerships and new members of the network.

What is the most surprising signal/alert you’ve seen so far?

Being a newbie to the trading world myself, I was surprised by how effectively our bot can process all the noise out there and translate it into an understandable message. When I first saw the Ichimoku cloud on a chart, I was a bit overwhelmed trying to figure it out. But our bot helped me make sense of it.

What’s your favorite thing to eat?

After spending two months this summer with our Thailand team in Bangkok, I must say that I would trade the Czech cuisine for Thai anytime, especially if you offer me a soothing bowl of Tom Kha.
